Selfie Artwork:
The first project in Art we did was taking a selfie (aka a self-portraitioure) of ourselves. [The original picture is to the top right]. Easy right? Not entirely. Our teacher wanted us to learn how to shade. After we created an outline of ourselves we began to create our art by shading. [You can see the sketch down below to the right]. Shading isn't as simple as one would think. You have to shade in the right places that are dark and after some practice I got the hang of it. Once we finished that we created a pen version of our selfies, which was must easier than the sketch. [You can see the lined art next to the sketch down to the right].

Raised by Poem: People Change People.
In Literature class, we wrote a poem as a warm up of what we would be learning that day. It is a poem that tells the reader what we were raised by. Mine was based on the people I've met/heard/seen throughout my life and how they influenced me. I call it "People Change People," because that's what I believe the secret of life is. How other's influence each other in a positive/possibly negative way.

Do Good Book:
the In the Do Good book (which is my trademark logo), it has a series of pages that feature around the artist: Jean -Micheal Basquiat. The first page is the quote that we had to pick a quote that stood out to us. The quote I chose is "I crossed out the words so you will see them more; the fact that they were obscured makes you want to read them." Second page is: the ten observations that I thought/saw in photos and thoughts. Third page is: the icon logo representing a devil (specifically DareDevil) and turned it into a devil caught between good (the halo) and evil (the black bars like a jail cell). and written under it is the slogan I created which is "The man without fear) |
The fourth is the tagline phrase: "Heart not hate," which can translate to "Harm now fate." and "Hurt now fate."
The fifth is the three line poem based on the Basquiat style portrait I created from "The Scream" painting. The sixth is the word I made up, which is Dreamitive: [see last page for what it means.] |

Literature Section:
Echo Poem:
For our echo poem we read line by line of the poem we chose from our notebook. With each line we read, we wrote what are response would be to create a new poem. |
|
Poem Analysis:
We analyzed a poem that we chose and wrote a paragraph on how we interpreted the message that was hidden in it. Dada/Surrealist Poem: A poem that we made out of magazines using a method of either Dada which is picking random letters from a hat and making a poem from that. Or make a surrealism poem by using the words by themselves. |

Photoshop Surrealism Illustration:
With our surrealism stories (check Literature Section above) we had to make a cover for what our story is about. Thus making what you see here ---->
