Today I read three of my fellow interns internships and I learned many things from their different internships.
The first one I read was Diana G's blog post about her internship at a Vet Clinic; I didn't know that much about what people do at a Vet Clinic besides the basics, which is taking care of the animals. Reading Diana's blog post it was interesting to learn about how she did her first vaccine and what steps it took to do that. I also learned that there are multiple rooms for different things that the animal needs to be taken care of; for example there is a place for surgery where they use the Ultrasound to look inside the animal. Overall, I can take away from her blog posts is that it's a lot of effort to make sure everything is going smoothly, but it's worth the effort. The second one I read was Thomas Uppenkamp's about his internship at the Grotto. He explains how it's a gym used for rock climbing, competitions, and it has a training room. I learned from Thomas' that doing an internship that you love and have fun at, makes it less like a job, but would still get the real life work experience from it from learning different things there. The third intern blog I read about was Diana L's and hers talked about how she is becoming more mature, learning to manage her work and prioritize. I learned that it's okay to ask questions and depend on the employes we're working with because they will help us since we've only been there for a short time.
