Into the Wild Project: Brief Summary: Our project Into the Wild starts off with us reading a book called Into the Wild by John Krakauer who first reported the incident of Chris McCandless dying, but then turned it into a book. We then researched more about him and his life. As we learned more about him we start to judge him based on his actions or words. After that we got inspired to go out to Anza Borrego on a camping trip to really go into the wild. Before that in math, we learned to make fuel calculations, make soda can stoves, and make compasses. In english we read about him, discussed about him, pretended to be him and wrote an essay on him as well. Then we got prepared for our camping trip learning how to build tents and folding them back up. During that process we have been making journals in groups of our preparation, experience, and reflection.
