Telescope Project
This telescope project is researching how to build, calculate the focal length, and learn how to make a scale diagram. We had to choose between a Keplerian, Galilean, and Newtonian telescope to make to test the magnification and chromatic aberration. Our project teaches us how to be careful with the objective lens and eyepiece as well also, teaching us how we can better learn about telescopes. The telescope we made was the Galilean which had low magnification, but had a greater chromatic aberration (color). It was different from the other types of telescopes we made because ours was rightside up while others (Newtonian) were upside down.
Exhibition:
My job was an usher in Humanities for the Happiness Project that I volunteered for. My job was also to talk to parents that might have questions on how we did it and what steps we took to make our topics sound and look professional. I did perform it well because I stepped up from being shy and welcomed people to our exhibition. I learned from this crazy exhibition experience that hard work pays off in the end because the parents seemed really into it and that they seem to want to learn more about our project. It was worth the hard work because we all took time and effort to make our projects look professional.
